BREAKING: OSPOLY DSA, Tope Abiola Advises Students to Avoid Satanic Stories

The Dean of Students' Affairs of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Dr, Tope Lawrence Abiola has today advised students of Mass Communication department to avoid writing stories that can put the societies into crisis, rather stories that can proffer solutions to crisis.
Dr. Tope made this known while speaking today Thursday , August 28th, 2025 during one-day seminar for all Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) graduating students, organized by Mass Communication Alumni Association (MAOS), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.
He stressed further while stressing on the topic tagged "Exploring Solution Journalism For National Development," that the news headline is part of the problems the Nigeria citizens are facing today as it can cause conflict in societies if not creatively constructed.
More so, The Head of Department of Mass Communication, Dr. Idowu Akinrosoye lauded MAOSS National President, Mr. Adekunle Sikiru popularly known as Abacus over a well organized by the association while he also advised the students to follow all the lectures given to them as it would be beneficial to their future.

In the same vein, Dr. Aderemi Adeagbo who was part of discussants at the event, spoke on “Fact-checking and Solution Journalism." He made it known that the concept of Public Relations has been the solution to solution journalism.

He explained that Solution Journalism need Spin Doctor who will also provide solutions to the organization in which a Public Relations Officer can always provide solutions to the problems.
Nevertheless, Dean of Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT), Mr. Stephen Oladoye was awarded for his support during the Mass communication film premiere.
