EFCC Ought to go after PDP not Me - Omisore

A former deputy  Governor  of Osun state senator Iyiola Omisore has cleared himself from  allegations  levelled  against  him by the  economic  and financial  crimes commission, saying, the EFCC should go after the People Democratic Party not him.

The former  governorship  prospect  of the PDP was detained by the EFCC in 2016 for allegedly collecting #1.3bn from the office  of the National  Security  Adviser  under the leadership  of Sambo Dasuki.

However, Omisore told reporters at the National Secretariat of the Social Democratic Party in Abuja where he went to obtain his Governorship interest  form that  the EFCC ought  to go after  the PDP, which  provide  the money and not him.

"The money  in question  by the EFCC was election money  and in a developed  country, it ought  to go  to the  party and not  the person  involved in the election", he said.
