Butchers in Bodija market of Ibadan engaged in violent acts on thursday,June 28 2018, over their grievances against the Oyo State Government.
Reports say the protesting butchers were on a mission to burn a Police Station in the area, before the police checkmated their action which led to chaos in the area.
It would be recalled that the butchers recently protested the demolition of their shops,as a result of the relocation of Bodija Abattoir to Amosun village by Oyo state Government.
The Spokesman of the Butchers Tunde Jigan said the case is yet to be resolved in the court, while Government had begun the demolition without the verdict of the court.
