• POEM: You aren't your mistake

    By Kehinde Sogbesan

In the tapestry of life, mistakes are made

Threads of imperfection in choices displayed

But listen closely to the whisper of truth

For within your being, there lies abundant proof

    You aren't your mistake, let it be known;

For in your essence, a brilliance is sown

A symphony of flaws and lessons learned,

Each stumble and misstep, a page that's turned

For to err is human, a universal plight,

Yet it's in the darkness that stars shine bright

A single misjudgment does not define

The depth of your spirit or the dreams you design

Embrace the lessons that failure imparts

A catalyst for growth, igniting new starts

For in every setback, resilience is found

And strength emerges from shaking the ground

You aren't your mistake, so let it go

Release the burden that weighs you low

For within your heart lies an endless well

Of forgiveness and grace, where healing can dwell

Take those scars and wear them like a crown

Symbols of wisdom and battles renowned

For a life without mistakes is a life untried

Let your missteps be wings on which you glide

Embrace the journey, let self-doubt be erased

Embrace your worth, let self-love be embraced

For you are not defined by the path you've tread

But by the resilience that resides in your thread

So rise above the shadows, let go of regret

And bask in the truth you're yet to forget

    You aren't your mistake, you're a masterpiece

A tapestry woven with love and peace
