JUST IN: OSPOLY Mass Comm Dept Shines In FICTSLC Legislative Summit Debate

Mass Communication Representatives with FICT Executives.

The Department of Mass Communication, Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has during Legislative Summit Debate organized by the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology Students Legislative Council (FICTSLC) emerged first position.

The Legislative Summit tagged "The Role of Legislature and Its Impact on Good Governance," which was held today, Thursday, 7th August, 2025 at New Lecture Hall (NLH1) of the institution, had in attendance representatives from the department of Mass Communication, Computer Science, Library and Information Science and Health and Information Management who contested in the debate.

However, after presentation of the representatives on the theme "The Roles of Students Union Politics and Campus Governance, a Necessity or Distraction?" Mass Communication contestants Akeem Yusuff Olatunji (HND1) and Iyanda Tolulope Omolola (ND2), secured first position with the sum of 33.5 points.

Similarly, the representative from Computer Science, Itunuoluwa Adeyemi Ayandokun (ND2) kept herself second runner-up with 33 points. NEB witnessed that Itunuolwa was only the candidate who represented her department in the debate.

Meanwhile, Health Information and Management representatives Aro Elizabeth Iyanuoluwa (ND1) and Daniel Samuel Muyiwa (ND1) bagged third position in the debate with a total of 28 points.
