JUST IN: ISEC Inaugurates SRC Members for 2025/2026 Academic Session
The Independent Students Electoral Commission (ISEC), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has today inaugurated the members of Students Representatives Council (SRC) at the Students Union Government (SUG) level for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The inauguration ceremony took place today, 29th September 2025, at the BOS Building of the institution. During the event, The ISEC Chairman, Soyinka Abraham formally handed over the SRC Constitution to the newly elected Senate President, Comrade Ogunsakin Samuel, signifying the official start of the Council’s activities for the session.
The newly-inaugurated SRC executives are as follows:
Ogunsakin Samuel (Journalism and Media Studies, HND1) – Speaker
Agunbiade Alimat Opeyemi (Estate Management, HND1) – Deputy Speaker
Oyekunle Rasheed Akorede (Welding and Fabrication, HND1) – Chief Whip
Ajayi Deborah Marvelous (Microbiology, HND1) – Clerk
In his remarks, Senator Ogunsakin Samuel expressed gratitude to God for standing by him throughout the nomination process. He also appreciated the institution’s Management, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Tope Abiola and other members of the Management present at the inauguration for their trust and support.

Meanwhile, the Dean of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Olutope Abiola, advised the newly inaugurated members to discharge their duties with responsibility and integrity.
He further announced that a private organization from Edo State has shown interest in employing OSPOLY students across all departments. Interested students were encouraged to submit their details for consideration.
Similarly, he lauded the stakeholders and the entire students of the institution for a successful conduction of students union government (SUG) election held recently, stating that the election is free of violence and petition whatsoever after the election.
