JUST IN: OSPOLY Mass Comm Dept Backs Mgt On Sign-out Ban
The executives of National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has recently released an official statement, supporting the school Management on the ban of sign-out celebration by the final year students.
According to the release, NAMACOS executives and stakeholders proscribed the final year sign-out celebration whatsoever.
Similarly, the association banned other activities which include:
>> Wearing of white shirt to the exam hall for signatory purposes (only Departmental Corporate Wear is Allowed)
>> Indecent dressing to the exam hall
>> Dreadlocks and all other forms of indecent hairstyles
>> Sign-out party or Sign-out gathering
>> Using of microchips, phones and other gadgets for malpractice purposes
The memorandum, however, stated that "no executives, leaders or stakeholders will plead or respond to any malpractice conduct by any student."
Also, the statement added that "This is in line with the strict warnings and a new set of rules laid down by the school Management and the Department. It saddens our hearts to inform you of the proscripment of our long awaited celebration and important part of our school life."
NAMACOS them implored all students to write thier final year exam in peace, unity and heart filled with passion for greatness.
While reacting, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Tope Abiola, lauded NAMACOS executives over their move, stating that other students and associations should follow suit.
It would be recalled that, authorities of OSPOLY had earlier proscribed sign-out activities after final year students examinations.
