NAMACOS Inaugurates New Executives for the 2025/2026 Academic Session

The National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has officially inaugurated its new executives for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The inauguration ceremony was held today, 3rd October 2025, at the New Lecture Hall 3 (NLH 3), with students, stakeholders, and past leaders of the association in attendance.
In his farewell address, the outgoing President, Comrade Abdullateef Shuaib, popularly known as Bankz, urged the newly elected executives to work harmoniously and uphold unity throughout their administration.
He said “It is normal for disputes to arise, but always ensure peace. Unity is what sustains leadership.”
Comrade Shuaib also appreciated all aspirants who contested during the departmental election but could not emerge victorious. He encouraged them to continue supporting the elected leaders for the progress and prosperity of the association.

“In every democratic struggle, not all aspirants will win. I appreciate you all, and I urge you to work with the new executives for a successful tenure,” he added.
Stating the achievements of the 2024/2025 administration, Bank listed several accomplishments, including: Ongoing renovation of the departmental toilet, Provision of over 800 press tags, Successful hosting of the Staylite Hangout, Strengthening of online visibility and recognition through social media ( Tiktok page ) Provision of public address systems (P.A systems) to all Mass Communication classes
The inauguration ceremony was attended by notable student leaders and personalities including: SUG President, Comrade Kehinde Ajayi, Comrade Ajani Abibulai, SUG Senate President, Ogunsakin Samuel, Com Oladeji Israel, Comrade Ajayi Timileyin
The newly inaugurated NAMACOS executives are expected to begin official duties immediately, marking the start of a new chapter in the association’s leadership.
