Corp Member Slumps, Dies on Parade Ground

Hilda Ichee Amadi, a corp member posted to Kwara state for her one year National Youth Service reportedly slumped and died on parade ground.

Eva slumped at Yikpata camp parade ground in Kwara state on April 23, and was attended to at the camp’s health clinic, before she was referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.

She was confirmed dead this morning by her friend who pleaded to remain anonymous.

She was said to have died from a bone fraction at the parade ground.

"The hospital was two hours away from the camp; it is so unfortunate that the camp clinic does not have enough facilities to cater for corp members," the deceased friend said.

Eva was a graduate of Oil and Gas from the University of Port-Harcourt.
