Ospoly Directs Political Candidates To Remove Posters
The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has directed the candidates aspiring for the various political offices in the institution to remove the campaign posters pasted on the walls around the school.
In an interview granted today, the media officer of the institution, Mr. Tope Abiola listed such political offices to include, Students Union Government, Faculty, and departmental associations.
“The campaign posters have defaced the beauty of the institution; we are warning that anybody who does that again or continue to past posters on the walls of the institution will be disqualified.’’
“It means that the person is not responsible. If you are responsible, you will not deface the beauty of the polytechnic,” the media officer said.
According to him, the school management is encouraging the aspirants to produce banners and display them wherever they dim it fit rather than pasting posters on the walls of the school.
He also decried the inscription of the names of the aspirants on the roads across the school. He described such an act as “nonsense”.
“Even the road where you are writing all these nonsense, we don’t want it. If they cannot clean what they have written on the road, let them go and remove the posters and stop pasting posters on the walls of the institution,’’ he added.
