ASUP Paralyses Academic Activities In Ospoly

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics,  Osun State Polytechnic, Iree chapter, has embarked on an indefinite strike today.

This action was confirmed after ASUP congress was held where the decision was put into voting and the majority of the lecturers voted in favour of the industrial action.

Though, all effort to speak with the ASUP chairman or the ASUP Public Relations Officer proved abortive, it was gathered that the strike action was due to nonpayment of staff allowances.

The length of the strike is not yet ascertain as all efforts to reach the school Media Relation Officer, Mr. Tope Abiola also proved abortive.
