Higher Institutions Football League Begins in July

Nigerian Tertiary Institutions to begin a football league in July 28, 2018.

The president  of the Nigerian university games association ( NUGA), Professor Stephen Hamefyelto who announced this recently said the competition is for all the tertiary institutions across the country.

"At the end of this maiden edition, we hope to have convinced all our sponsors, students in colleges and Nigerians as a whole that thinking of expanding as HIFL is a very good platform for students in tertiary institutions to achieve their potentials in Football," he said.

 According to Hamafyetto, Higher Institutions Football League (HIFL) will complement NUGA's effort in reviving inter schools competitions.

"It will bring back all the formal competitions that students derived pleasure in, this is firmly our plan," he added.
