Strike: Lectures Continue In OSPOLY — Bayo Fadeji

 

As against the rumour going around the campus that there may not be lectures on Tuesday, the Director of Media, Publicity and Protocol of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Bayo Fadeji, has said lectures continue.

He said this in a quick telephone conversation with our correspondent on Tuesday stating that since there was no circular to back up the rumours, it is baseless.

In his words; "is there any circular to back up that? If there will not be lectures, a circular would have been released to back it up."

He, however, urged that students should continue to attend classes as lectures continue.

Meanwhile, some students started spreading the rumour in the early hours of Monday, following the strike threat by the Nigeria Labour Congress which was said to be a protest to identify with the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and "their children sitting at home, hitherto as a result of the ongoing ASUU's strike."
