BREAKING: OSPOLY NAOSS Empowers Students With Catering Skills Training

The National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree has today organized a-day entrepreneurship and catering training for the students of Osun State.
The entreprenuership training, a first of its kind was held today Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Red Block hall of the institution. While speaking, the staff adviser of NAOSS, Mr. Bello Kabir urged the participants of the entrepreneurship training to make use of the opportunity they had by leveraging on the skill learned.

He also added that skills learned would make everyone a job creator instead of seeking for jobs after graduation. He noted that learning skills can enhance individuals' sustainability in the current situation of the country.
During the welcoming speech, NAOSS President, Comrade Abiodun Iyiola Emmanuel known as Mr. Bernard averred that the training is a step towards equipping participants with the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for a brighter future beyond the four walls of the classroom.

"As students and young leaders, we live in a world where entrepreneurship and creativity are no longer optional but essential tools for survival and success. This training is designed to empower us with practical knowledge in both business and catering, so that we can create opportunities, become self-reliant, and contribute meaningfully to society," NAOSS president maintained.
During an interview with participants, Balogun Khadijat from Boripe Local Government affirmed that the training is beneficial. "Though, I am a caterer but if I am not a caterer, what I learned today at the training, I can practice it myself," Khadijat said.
Similarly, Quadri Limota, Ogun State, explained how impactful the training was to her, stating that she had been watching related videos on TikTok but had the opportunity to learn it today. She further commended NAOSS for organizing such training towards helping students.
Adeyemi Ridwan, an indigene of Ila Orangun, noted that "I gained a lot of things such as cake baking and making pie." He then urged NAOSS to continue organizing such training to enable students equipped with diverse skills.
The trainer invited for the Catering Training, Ilufoye Kifayah whose business name is Sweetcravings taught participants how to bake cake and make meat-pie.

However, at the end of the Entrepreneurship and Catering Training, participants were awarded certificate of participation.
