BREAKING: OSPOLY Iree Declares Public Holiday For Id El Maolud, Allows Election To Proceed

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has today declared Friday, September 5th, 2025 as public holiday in line with the Federal Government declaration for id el Maolud which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammed.

The statement was contained in a memo issued by the Registrar of institution, Mr. Abiodun Oloyede and it instructed all staffs and students to comply with the holiday notice.

The memorandum said all students note that Students Union Government election will hold Friday, 5th September, 2025 as initially scheduled.

According to the memo, only staff members that are directly involved in the election are exempted from observing the holiday, while others are expected to stay away from official duties and business activities. 

The memorandum said businesses activities for Computer Operators are also suspended to ensure a hitch free exercise during election while movement on campus will be restricted except for security personnel, members of staff that have direct involvement in the election and essential services.

The Management urged everyone to follow the rules to ensure peace and order during the election.
