NAMACOS DECIDES: Kazeem Emerges As President For 2025/2026 Academic Session
The National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS) of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has successfully conducted its departmental election, recording a total of 292 accredited voters across all levels.
According to the NAMACOS Independent Student Electoral Committee (NAMACOSISEC), 97 voters participated from ND I and ND II, while 195 voters came from HND I and HND II.

In the Presidential race, Olayemi Kazeem Adebayo (Kazeem) emerged victorious with 163 votes, defeating Omotosho Ismail Temitope (Popular), who polled 119 votes, while 10 votes were declared void.
For the position of Auditor, Famakinde Michael Temidayo (Pharma) won with 143 votes, defeating Oyegbile Jamiu Oyetunde (Omoye), who secured 118 votes, while 32 votes were voided.
In the Librarian category, Abdulrafiu Yetunde Sukurat (Ope) clinched victory with 140 votes, defeating Adebisi Taiwo Lateef (Classic), who had 91 votes, while 61 votes were voided.
The Welfare Directress seat was won by Alarape Sukurat Olabisi (Ashabi), who garnered 139 votes, defeating Opeyemi, who got 101 votes.
Other aspirants who were unopposed include:
Treasurer: Ganiyu Kaosarat Temiloluwa (Slimzy)
Financial Secretary: Olanitori Omolola Mary (Lady Khim)
Social Director: Babalola Favour Olawale (Olaskit)
Sport Director: Olabamiji Ayomide Oluwafemi
Vice President: Oluronbi Lateef (Ola)
General Secretary: Oladele Iyiola Israel (Pastorate)
Assistant General Secretary: Afolabi Segun (Segzzy)
Public Relations Officer (PRO): Asaye Blessing Adebukola (Vikky)
In an interview with the newly elected President, Olayemi Kazeem Adebayo, he expressed his appreciation to God Almighty, the students, and everyone who came out to vote.

"They should watch out for the agenda I promised to deliver,” he said.
He further added,
“This victory is not mine alone but for every Mass Communication student who believes in progress and unity. I’m overjoyed right now and don’t have much to say. I promise to serve with integrity and humility. I will be the voice for the voiceless and lead the Mass Communication students through a successful phase.”
The election, which witnessed a peaceful and transparent process, has been widely commended as one of the most credible and well-organized in recent years.
Present at the election venue to ensure fairness and orderliness were Dr. Adeagbo, a Representative from the Dean of Student Affairs (DSA), and several Security Officers, who worked hand in hand with NAMACOSISEC to maintain peace and transparency throughout the voting and counting process.
