JUST IN: OSPOLY Debunks Fake Memo on CBE Rescheduling, ₦65,000 Project Fee

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has debunked a purported memorandum circulating among students on the alleged rescheduling of the HND II Mid-Semester Computer-Based Examination (CBE) and the introduction of a ₦65,000 project assessment fee.
The clarification was contained in a statement issued by the Office of the Registrar on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, describing the circulating document as fraudulent and not authorised by the institution.
According to Management, the fake memo, titled “Information on Rescheduled Mid-Semester Computer-Based Test and Project Assessment Fees for HND II Students,” falsely claimed that the CBE earlier scheduled for September 9 and 10, 2026, had been shifted to September 14 and 15, 2026.
The Polytechnic clarified that the earlier approved CBE dates remain unchanged, urging HND II students to disregard the purported rescheduling information.
Management also dismissed the alleged ₦65,000 project assessment fee, stating that the institution had not approved such a payment.
It further explained that no Management meeting had been held to deliberate on or approve the purported fee.
The institution therefore urged HND II students and the entire Polytechnic community to rely strictly on official communication from authorised channels and disregard unverified information circulating on social media or other platforms.
Students seeking further clarification were advised to contact the Office of the Registrar, the Deputy Rector or the Dean of Student Affairs.
