• REPUBLISHED: THE POET: GIANT OF NO WHERE

    By Michael Obisesan

Our lips are shaking without a word

We hope you listen to our tears

We are loosing hope all day

Plant a new peace on our land

    Our green is fading away

Our white is now stained with blood

Overdose of power is much for our leaders

Our road has turned to a killer

Listen to our fears before we give up

    We are really fed up

Minimum wages cannot feed a man

    Hunger has killed many people

    Bandits are now ruling

    Terrorist cannot be prosecuted

Civil servants are surviving with loans

Graduate is just a word in the dictionary

Kidnappers are so precious to them

    Clean our land right now

Don't be deaf to us dear ancestors

Give us peace unity and something more

Don't be deaf to us our fathers land

    Take away all our problems

Our naira is just a symbol

    No value for what's useless

Don't be deaf to us our ancestors

    Our youths are running away

High brain drain is crystal clear

    Terrorist among the minister set

Don't be deaf to us our ancestors

Listen to our tears our fathers land

Even if we serve you with our whole heart

Challenging them cost our whole life

Don't be deaf to us giant of no where

Don't be deaf to our over population of poverty.
