The Management of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has issued a stern warning to all political aspirants against defacing school and government properties for election campaigns.

This warning was issued out today, 24 June, 2025 in an internal memorandum titled "Warning Against Defacing Properties and Unauthorized Political Activities," from the office of OSPOLY Dean Students Affairs and signed by Dr. Tope Abiola.

The memo expressed that the Management has been alerted that certain individuals or groups of students have engaged in defacing public roads, school buildings and other government properties under the guise of students union election campaigns.

"The Management strongly condemns this act of vandalism and wishes to remind all students that the ban on students union politicking on campus remains in force and has not been lifted. Therefore, any form of political campaign, including posters, graffiti, or any form of defacement of public or institutional property is strictly prohibited," the memo said.

The Management, however, cautioned all students to refrain from the unauthorized and unlawful activities, noting that defaulters will face disciplinary committee which may include disqualification in contesting for future students union election, suspension or expulsion from the institution depending on the gravity of the offense.

Similarly, the memo affirmed that the institution remains committed to maintaining order, discipline, and a conducive learning environment for all students. Meanwhile, all students are enjoined to comply with the directives.
