OSPOLY FST Dept Triumphs As First Runner-Up At 9th NAFSTS Southwest Quiz Competition

The Department of Food Science and Technology (FST), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has today emerged the first runner-up in the quiz competition held during the 9th Nigerian Association of Food Science Technology Students (NAFSTS) Southwest Conference at Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Ikole campus, Ekiti.

NEB learnt that Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, secured the first position in the competition with a total of 15 points.

Also, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, bagged second position with sum of 10 points.

Similarly, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, came third with a total of 5 points in the quiz competition.

However, the President of the Faculty of Science Students Association (FASSA), OSPOLY, Comr. Babatunde Bais (Bizzy Brain) in a memo signed and obtained by NEB, noted that the brilliant performances of the representatives, Adekilekun Rukayat Titilayo and Adebayo Tolulope Fathia, (HND1), in the quiz competition, brought an excellent victory to the institution.

The memo said "Securing this position among such strong academic competitors speaks volumes about our strength, focus, and commitment to excellence."

Nonetheless, other institutions that participated in the quiz competition include: Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Ikole campus, Ekiti (FUOYE); Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU); Federal University of Technology, Ado-Ekiti (FUTA); Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY); Ado Poly; University of Ibadan (UI), just to mention a few.
