JUST IN: 2 months, 5 days Later, OSPOLY Caretaker Final Football Tournament, Table Tennis Kicks Off
Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree Caretaker Committee has announced the final football tournament and table tennis game to be played on Friday, June 3, 2025 after 2 months and 5 days the competition got postponed.
The announcement was made today through a flyer design forwarded to students' groups by Caretaker Chairperson, Comrade Olaniyi Ajoke Deborah.
It will be recall that on Saturday, April 26, 2025, a memo was released from Caretaker Committee on the postponement of the final football match and table tennis game due to specified reason stated in the memorandum.
"UPDATE ON POSTPONEMENT OF SUC FINAL MATCH AND TABLE TENNIS GAME
This is to inform the general student body that the SUC Final Football Match and the Table Tennis Game have been officially postponed. These events are now scheduled to hold in the second semester immediately after resumption.
This decision was made in consideration of several important factors:
The semester examination is fast approaching, and we understand that many students are yet to complete their payments and make adequate academic preparations," the memo reads partly.
However, according to the information contained in the flyer, the pats face off of the table tennis game will come up on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 and Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Students Union Building while the football tournament final will come up on Thursday, July 3, 2025 by 10am at the school pavilion.
In a similar vein, Faculty of Electrical Engineering will face Faculty of Environmental Studies (FMS) for the third place. Also, NASTES will meet Computer Engineering at the final stage.
