OSPOLY Students Laud Rector, Alabi As Mgt Digitalizes Academic Results

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (OSPOLY) has recently digitalized access to academic results of its students, offering students of the institution an access to their respective academic results through their portals.

In a concise message shared on a Students' whatsapp group, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution's Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT), Ajayi Timileyin disclosed that the Rector of the institution, Mr. Kehinde Alabi had since 2024 promised to switch from the institution's age-long analog wall-pasting of students' results to electronic transmission of results via Students' portals.

He lauded Mr. Alabi for the significant milestone of digitalizing Students' results  and he urged him to fulfil his promise of resuscitating democratic student unionism in the institution.

"Our rector is doing well. Last year he promised us about the digitalization of our results and today he fulfilled his promise. We hope he fulfills his promise bringing back our union on campus," Timileyin wrote.

Moreso, a Daily Part-time student of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) of the institution who had accessed her results through her portal, Adeniji Adewumi Asiat noted that checking her results on the Students' portal was hitch-free. 

"I commend the leadership of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree for revamping the academic system of the institution. We hope for more phenomenal developments," Adewumi said.

Speaking with NEB, the institution's Director of Protocol, Media, and Publicity, Mr. Bayo Fadeji noted that the digitalization of students' results is to make accessing results a seamless experience for students.

He further said "This is an initiative we put in place for all our students, not minding the category of students— either full-time or part-time, once students register all their courses on the portal, they will have their registered courses' results in due time. The results will be domiciled on the Students' portal. It is only registered students that will have their results released on their portal. This technological advancement in our academic system has not only come to stay."
