• BREAKING: Anti-Cultism Wing of Osun State Police Command Apprehend Two Erring Students Over Sign-Out Celebration

    Two erring students from the Department of Electrical  and Electronics Engineering, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, were apprehended by the officials of Anti-Cultism Wing of Osun State Police Command in Iree on Friday.


    The arrest was as a result of failure of the students to abide by the laid rules and regulations against sign-out celebration on and off campus of the Osun State Polytechnic Iree by the Management.


    NEB correspondent confirmed that they were held hostage for several hours in the security unit of the school before they were whisked to the State Police Command.


    Investigation revealed that they were suspected to be members of an anti-social group in Iree.


     The police, however, stated that "they needed to be queried and investigated for their unholy behavior after the examination."

    It would be recalled that, authorities of OSPOLY had earlier proscribed sign-out activities on and off campus.

    Final year students of Faculties of Engineering, Management Studies, Faculties of Science were seen going to their different houses peacefully as instructed by the Management but the two apprehended students were caught displaying abnormal attitude as they were having extra jubilatory character that could facilitate violence in the school.
