JUST IN: OSPOLY Reiterates Ban on Students’ “Sign-Out” Activities
The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has again reaffirmed the ban on the popular “sign-out” celebration traditionally observed by final-year students after their examinations.
The renewed directive was contained in an internal memorandum issued today, Tuesday, by the Directorate of Students’ Affairs.
The memo, signed by the Sub-Dean of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Akinbode Sangodapo, was addressed to all Deans and Heads of Departments, directing them to inform students immediately and enforce strict compliance across all faculties and departments.
Management noted that despite earlier warnings, some students had continued to organize sign-out activities on campus.
The latest memo therefore serves as a reminder that the proscription remains in full effect for all categories of final-year students, including National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) candidates.
The Directorate warned that any student who flouts the ban will face severe disciplinary action, stressing that the decision was taken to maintain order and ensure the safety of the entire school community.
