The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has temporarily suspended the earlier directive mandating all graduating students to pay a sum of ₦10,000 as an endowment fund.

This was contained in an internal memorandum dated October 20, 2025, and signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Mr. Abiodun O. Oloyede.

The memo, titled “Payment of Endowment Fund by All Graduating Students – Temporary Suspension of Compliance,” referred to a previous notice issued on October 16, 2025, and stated that all actions on the earlier provisions have been temporarily suspended.

“This is to inform all graduating ND II and HND II students that actions on the provisions of the memo under reference are hereby temporarily suspended,” the statement read.

“All concerned students are to note this directive and act accordingly.”

The earlier directive, issued on October 16, 2025, had approved the payment of ₦10,000 by each graduating student as a contribution to the institution’s endowment fund aimed at supporting development and infrastructure.

With the latest update, all graduating students are advised to disregard the previous instruction and await further communication from the management regarding the next steps.

As of the time of this report, the reason for the temporary suspension has not been officially stated.
