JUST IN: SUG President Ajayi Kehinde Appoints Comr. Oyeniran Ibrahim Adebayo as Chief of Staff
The President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Comrade AJayi Kehinde Emmanuel (Sir Kenny), has officially appointed Comrade Oyeniran Ibrahim Adebayo as the Chief of Staff to the Office of the President.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced on Tuesday, October 22, 2025, through an official letter signed by the SUG President and the General Secretary, Comrade Odudu Anuoluwapo Titilayo.
According to the letter, the appointment is a recognition of Comrade Oyeniran’s commitment, loyalty, and dedication to the ideals of unionism and effective student representation within the institution.
As Chief of Staff, Comrade Oyeniran is expected to offer strategic guidance and advice in coordinating the activities of the SUG staff, as well as support the leadership in promoting peace, unity, and progress among the student populace.
The letter emphasized that the position is a privilege of service, not a right, and may be withdrawn in cases of misconduct, negligence, or any behavior deemed detrimental to the image or objectives of the Students’ Union Government.
In his message, President Ajayi Kehinde Emmanuel congratulated the appointee, expressing confidence in his abilities and dedication to service.
“On behalf of the entire leadership of the Students’ Union Government, I congratulate you on this well-deserved appointment. May your tenure be marked by wisdom, diligence, and unwavering commitment to service," the president stated.
The appointment marks one of the first key administrative decisions under the new SUG leadership for the 2025/2026 academic session, signaling the start of what many students anticipate will be a purposeful and reform-driven administration.
