Reporter’s Diary: Iree House Agents Are laying More Negative Impact On The Inflated Price Of Ospoly Student's House Rent

The consistent rise in the price of hostel fees in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has been a serious problem that students are facing all day, and the rate at which this ‘packaged business fraud’ is growing is so disheartening.

Under the greedy umbrella, many greedy guts house agents are inflating the price of house rent to a very critical level more than the intended amount charged by the landlord. 

Through findings, it was revealed that the Newworld hostel located in Lodoja house rent fee is #20,000 as said by the landlord, meanwhile, some agents collected #30,000 from students before renting out the apartment to them, this is such a ‘packaged business fraud’ that is draining the life out of the student of Ospoly. 

By these agents, students have been turned into a bank where they believe they would get all the funds they needed to meet up with their lifetime responsibilities, forgetting that many of these students are struggling to sponsor their education.

Despite how the campus and students at large have contributed to the development of this community, they are being rewarded with extortion and all sort of irrelevant inflation.

Agents are considering their pockets, without are rethink on the labour of all the students before they could come up with such an amount to rent an apartment. 

Agents are happily making money unethically while students are paying it with pain. 

To make it clear, the investigation made it known that most of these agents are the ones persuading and convincing many landlords to unnecessarily inflate the price of house rent, with the intention that the students don't have any choice but to pay it, and in a real sense, many students are struggling, not everyone is involved in cybercrime and many dark activities that prompts some people to spend lavishly. 

This new year, many new students have been highly extorted by many of these agents, while many house agents don't think twice before inflating house rent prices with #10,000, #20,000 and many more that are highly disheartening. 

In a real sense, many house agents are making money more than landlords, along the line of extortion students, many landlords are also being scammed, which is however bad and at the same time comical how agents are making more money than property owners. Agents are adding flesh, many landlords are eating tokens while students are going through a lot. 

If considered, All landlords should be able to print their apartment prices and paste them somewhere visible, therefore any agent who refers anyone should be expected to get his service fee which should range from 1k to 5k depending on the circumstances. And the agent fee should be a one-time payment, which means it shouldn't be added to another session payment of any student.
