The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has officially commenced the Computer-Based Test (CBT) screening exercise for applicants seeking admission into the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The screening exercise kicked off today, 7th October, 2025. At the school’s ICT 1 and ICT 2 Centers, where candidates were assessed as part of the admission process. According to the NEB correspondent, the screening is being conducted in batches, with each batch allotted 30 minutes to complete the test.

Officials on the ground ensured a smooth and orderly process by guiding candidates and maintaining proper coordination throughout the exercise. Applicants were also advised to adhere strictly to their scheduled time and date as stated on their invitation slips. The management emphasized that punctuality and compliance are essential for a fair and organized screening process.

Furthermore, aspirants were instructed to proceed to their respective faculties for physical screening and document verification immediately after completing their CBT session.

During an interview session with a student who came for the screening, she revealed that they were only informed upon arrival that they would also undergo faculty oral screening in addition to the CBT exam. She added that though the process seemed unplanned to them, the officials made the exercise well-organized.

At the Faculty of Management Studies, particularly in the Department of Business Administration, Mrs. Olaoye, one of the screening officers, explained that applicants are required to present their,

In an interview with the Portal Manager of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr. Adegboye A. O., he congratulated the applicants for reaching the screening stage, describing it as a “great privilege.” Reflecting on experience as a student of OSPOLY in 1999, he stated that he never regretted studying at the institution.

Mr. Adegboye further explained that the institution aims to ensure that new students begin their academic journey on a solid foundation. This, he said, is why the management introduced both the CBT test and the faculty oral screening to strengthen students’ preparedness and foster discipline.

He also encouraged the candidates to stay focused, noting that “Iree is no longer what it used to be in the old days when people said Iree is for show—now, it is about academic excellence and dedication.”

The CBT screening marks a crucial stage for candidates aspiring to secure admission into various Higher National Diploma (HND) programs offered by the institution.

Applicants are therefore urged to arrive early, come with all necessary documents, and follow the instructions provided by screening officers to ensure a seamless and successful exercise.
