BREAKING: NAMACOS SRC Reviews Constitution, Sets 3.00 GPA Benchmark For Post Of President, 2.75 Upward For Others

The National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS) Students Representatives Council (SRC), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has today reviewed its constitution, introducing new Grade Point Average (GPA) as benchmark for leadership positions.
The GPA benchmark for the post of president has been changed from 2.75 to 3.00 while other posts have been increased to 2.75 upward from 2.50 it was initially. The review was effected under Article 11, Section 3: aspirants and requirements.
Similarly, the review includes zoning of post under Article 9, Section 2 of NAMACOS constitution. The post of General Secretary which was initially from ND, has now been reserved for HND. The post of Social Director which was general has also been reserved for HND. Also, the post of the Liberian has been shifted from general to ND.
In addition, the post of Protocol Officer was added as a new post into the constitution and its duties and responsibilities as well, stating that the position is general.
The review process which was anchored by the Senate President, Comrade Adebayo Rasaq Kolawole fostered at enhancing good administration and responsible representation.
The process, however, had in attendance key stakeholders including the NAMACOS president, Comrade Shuaib Abdullateef, known as Bankz, Immediate-Past NEB Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Senate Speaker, Adebayo Ridwan, SRC member and other executives who participated actively in the success of the review.
