• BREAKING: OSPOLY HND II Mass Communication Students Launch OSPOTAINMENT Magazine

    Students of Higher National Diploma (HND) II, Mass  Communication (Journalism and Media Studies), launched OSPOTAINMENT Magazine at the New Lecture Hall (NLH 3B) of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.


    The event, which happened on Monday, February 16, 2026, attracted lecturers, dignitaries, NAMACOS executives, and students, marking a significant academic milestone for the department as the journalism students officially unveiled their publication.


    The magazine was a project of their HND 1 2024/2025  Days, and was launched to showcase students’ practical reports, creativity, and professional growth in journalism, as well as to contribute meaningful content to the academic community.


    Speaking at the event, the Editor-in-Chief,  of the Magazine, Adeyemi Isreal, popularly known as Immaculate, described the project as more than just a publication.


    “Today isn’t just about unveiling a new publication; it’s about bringing a fresh voice, a bold vision, and a community of stories into the world,” he said.


    He appreciated the team of writers, designers, photographers, editors, partners, and sponsors for their dedication and support in making the magazine a reality.


    Moreover, the President of NAMACOS, Comrade Olayemi Kazeem Adebayo, commended the students for their discipline and resilience throughout the production process. He stated that the launch reflects intellectual growth, leadership development, and commitment to excellence within the department.


    “A book represents deep thought, sacrifice, research, and commitment. This achievement shows that we are not just talkers but thinkers and contributors to society,” he said, encouraging students to read, share, and apply the knowledge contained in the magazine.


    The Lecturer-in-Charge, Dr. Adeagbo Aderemi, expressed gratitude to God, the students, and board members for their support.


    He noted that the magazine is not just printed paper but a reflection of the students’ academic training and preparation toward becoming professional journalists. He added that seeing the finished publication made him proud.


    Dignitaries present at the event included Dr. Adeagbo, Mr. Sikiru (Abacus), NAMACOS executives, and Mr. Akinola.


    The ceremony concluded with the official unveiling of OSPOTAINMENT Magazine and goodwill messages from invited guests.
