OSPOLY FST Emerges Overall Winner at NAFSTS Southwest Quiz Competition
Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree has emerged the overall winner of the Nigerian Association of Food Science and Technology Students (NAFSTS) Southwest Quiz Competition, defeating 17 other institutions across the region.
The institution was represented by Azeez-Adewale Ikmat, Adekilekun Ruqqoyah, Adebayo Tolulope Fathia and Ojo Jumoke Esther who showcased outstanding academic performance throughout the competition.
The competition featured 18 institutions offering Food Science and Technology-related programmes across the Southwest. OSPOLY progressed through several rounds, competing against notable institutions, including the Adekunle Ajasin University.
At the final stage, OSPOLY faced Federal University of Technology Akure and Yaba College of Technology, eventually securing first position to emerge the champion of the competition.
The victory has been described as a reflection of the academic excellence of students in the Department of Food Science and Technology and the institution's commitment to quality education.
The leadership of NAFSTS, OSPOLY Chapter, appreciated the institution's management, lecturers, stakeholders, and students for their support throughout the competition.
The achievement brings further recognition to Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, within the academic community across the Southwest region.
