BREAKING: OSPOLY Management Bans Paramilitary Groups on Campus

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has announced a total prohibition of all unauthorized paramilitary groups operating within the institution as part of efforts to maintain peace, safety, and order on campus.
The directive was contained in an internal memorandum issued by the Registrar, Mr. Abiodun Oloyede, dated July 14, 2026, and addressed to all full-time and part-time students of the institution.
According to the memo, the management observed that some paramilitary groups previously banned by the institution had resumed activities on campus.
The institution stated that the activities of all paramilitary groups, including Man O' War, Opiaka, Cadet, NDLEA, and similar organizations, are strictly prohibited within the campus.
Management emphasized that only officially constituted security personnel are recognized for maintaining law and order in the institution. It added that issues relating to students' crises, disputes, or disciplinary matters must not be handled by unauthorized groups or individuals.
The memo further directed students to report all security concerns or crises to the Institution's Security Office and the Directorate of Student Affairs for appropriate action.
It warned that any group or individual found violating the directive would be dealt with in accordance with the institution's rules and other extant laws.
The management urged all students to comply with the directive in their own interest and ensure that it receives the necessary publicity across the campus.
