OSPOLY Students, Staff Invited to AI, Robotics Seminar on Future of Work
Students and staff of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, have been invited to participate in an online seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, research mentorship, and the future of work in the digital economy.
The lecture, themed "From Classroom to Global Impact: AI, Robotics, Research Mentorship and the Future of Work in a Digital Economy," is scheduled to be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
The seminar will be delivered by Prof. Kennedy Okafor of Imperial College London and is powered by the Diaspora Bridge of the Office of the Honourable Minister of Education in collaboration with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
According to the memo, the lecture is designed to benefit lecturers, trainers, researchers, ICT officers, entrepreneurship and skills centre personnel, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate students, including students of Nigerian polytechnics and colleges of education.
The invitation was circulated to the OSPOLY students by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Olutope Abiola, who encouraged students and members of staff to take advantage of the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of emerging technologies and their impact on the future of work.
