MAOS to Launch Multi-Million Naira National Secretariat, Legacy Hub Project July 4
The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (MAOS), has announced plans to launch and raise funds for its proposed multi-million naira National Secretariat and Legacy Hub Complex on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
The fundraising event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at City Dwellers Hall, along ANCOPSS Road, Ring Road Area, Osogbo, and is expected to bring together alumni, stakeholders, dignitaries, and graduating HND II students of Journalism and Strategic Communication.
According to a statement signed by the National President, Comrade Sikiru Y. Adekunle (Abacus), and the General Secretary, Onafuwa Oluseun, the project is aimed at providing a permanent administrative headquarters for the association while preserving its legacy for future generations.
The event is expected to attract several notable personalities, including the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, as the Royal Father of the Day. Governor Ademola Adeleke and Senator (Dr.) Ajibola Basiru is expected as the Guest of Honour, while the Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Mr. Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, and the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Dr. Idowu Akinrosoye, are among the invited dignitaries.
The Chairman of the MAOS Board of Trustees, Alhaji Moshood Abiola Oladosu (USA), will serve as the Chief Host.
MAOS called on all graduates of the Department of Mass Communication, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora, as well as friends and supporters of the association, to attend the event and contribute towards the successful execution of the project.
