• Photography Technology Department to Hold Practical Workshop on Camera Operation, Video Production

    The Department of Photography Technology, Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, will hold a one-day practical workshop on Friday, July 24, 2026, to equip students with hands-on skills in photography and video production.


    The workshop is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Photography Class, Mass Communication Complex, and will feature practical sessions on camera handling and operation, video coverage, and video editing.


    According to a statement released by the department, the training is designed to expose participants to industry-standard techniques and enhance their practical competence in photography and multimedia production.


    The Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) and Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Dr. Idowu Akinrosoye, is expected to attend the programme as the Special Guest of Honour.


    Speaking ahead of the workshop, the Head of the Department of Photography Technology, Sikiru Y. Adekunle (Abacus), urged students and other interested participants to take advantage of the training opportunity.


    He said the workshop would provide participants with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills that would enhance their professional development in photography and video production.


    Adekunle also encouraged members of the Polytechnic community to participate in the programme and contribute to the department's continued growth and success.
