BREAKING: OSPOLY SRC Elects New Speaker, Principal Officers

The Student Representative Council (SRC) of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has elected Oludayo Oluwapelumi Ayobamidele, popularly known as VALUE, as its new Speaker.

Ayobamidele, a student of the Faculty of Engineering (FENG), emerged alongside other principal officers during the election held on the Polytechnic campus following the constitution of the new SRC.

Other officers elected and sworn in are Adebisi Elizabeth Oluwapamilerin of the Faculty of Science as Deputy Speaker, Akanmu Nurudeen Oluwadamilare of Estate Management, Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES), as Chief Whip, and Okunade Enoch Sayo of Business Administration and Management Studies as Clerk.

The election and swearing-in were supervised by the Dean of Student Affairs and witnessed by newly elected Students’ Union Government (SUG) executives, stakeholders and student leaders.

Speaking after his emergence, Ayobamidele described the position as a privilege and pledged to run an inclusive parliament committed to students’ interests and welfare.

A stakeholder, Comrade Olusola Emmanuel Akonbi, described the process as peaceful and successful, adding that the newly elected SRC members had been fully inaugurated.
