FICTSA Wins 32nd Rector’s Cup at OSPOLY
The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) men’s football team of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has emerged as the winner of the 32nd edition of the Rector’s Cup.
The team maintained a strong performance from the group stage through the knockout rounds before securing victory in the final against the Faculty of Engineering.
Their determination and consistent performance throughout the competition earned them the prestigious trophy, bringing excitement and pride to the FICT community.
Reacting to the victory, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology Students’ Association (FICTSA), led by its President, Comr. Omosanya Samuel Joseph, popularly known as Josbright, congratulated the players for their achievement.
The association commended the team for its courage, resilience and commitment throughout the tournament, describing the victory as a reflection of the players’ hard work.
FICTSA also appreciated the coaching staff led by Coach Dino and the Sports Director for their leadership, guidance and support during the competition.
The association said the achievement further demonstrates the faculty’s strength and competitiveness in sports within the institution.
The victory has continued to generate excitement among FICT students and members of the faculty, with the FICTSA leadership congratulating the players for bringing the trophy home and making the faculty proud.
