NAMACOS Speaker Olaoye Inaugurates New NISEC Members for 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Speaker of the National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Comrade Benjamin Itunu Olaoye, has sworn in newly nominated members of the NAMACOS Independent Student Electoral Commission (NISEC) for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall II (MPH II) of the institution, marked the formal commencement of the newly appointed officials’ responsibilities in overseeing the association’s electoral activities.
Addressing the gathering, Comrade Olaoye stated that nominees must obtain the appropriate registration forms and resign from any relevant positions before becoming members of NISEC.
He explained that the commission would be responsible for the sale of election forms, the conduct of free and fair elections, and the immediate announcement of election results after the electoral exercise.
Following the nominations, Stephen Adetunji Akinloye was nominated as NISEC General Secretary by Comrade Jubril Mustapha Olakanmi, while Saheed Qossem Akanji was nominated as Public Relations Officer (PRO) by Damilola Ajileye.
Similarly, Senator Ahmed Adedeji nominated Mustapha Opeyemi Adesina as a member of NISEC. Rasak Taiwo Olawale was nominated as Chairman by Adefunminiyi Ewade, while Rasak Taiwo Olawale nominated Adefunminiyi Ewade as Financial Secretary.
In his remarks, the Faculty NISEC Public Relations Officer, Comrade Rasak Kehinde, congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to discharge their duties diligently. He also charged them to uphold fairness, transparency, and credibility throughout the electoral process.
