FICT ISEC Announces 2026/2027 Students’ Union Election Timetable
The Independent Students’ Electoral Commission (ISEC) of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has announced the timetable for the 2026/2027 Students’ Union election.
The timetable was announced in a memorandum dated October 12, 2026, and signed by the ISEC Chairman, Afolabi Ifeoluwa Abraham, popularly known as Mayor.
According to the timetable, campaigning commenced on October 5, while the sale of nomination forms began on October 7 and will close on October 19, 2026.
The commission fixed October 20 as the deadline for the submission of completed election forms. The last day for campaigning is October 21, while the manifesto presentation is scheduled for October 22.
The election will hold on October 23, 2026, with successful candidates expected to be sworn in and officially assume their respective offices on October 28.
ISEC urged all aspirants to adhere strictly to the approved timetable and comply with the commission’s rules and regulations throughout the electoral process.
The commission also called on all aspirants to promote a peaceful, free, and fair election, stressing the importance of maintaining order and ensuring a smooth electoral process.
The memorandum was also signed by the ISEC General Secretary, Adegoke Abiodun Moses, and the commission’s Public Relations Officer, Rasak Kehinde Olawumi.
