SUC FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT QUARTER FINAL: NASTES Defeat Mass Comm To Qualify For Semifinal
Today is an unforgettable day for the Mass Communication Football Team in a 1:2 heartbreaking defeat to National Association of Science and Technology Students (NASTES), which has affected the chance of the team to further to the semifinal stage of the tournament.
The match which was played at School Pavilion today 27th March, 2025, which led to the loss has left fans, players, and students heartbroken, with many blaming the absence of their first-choice goalkeeper named Ola, who was reported that he left for Salah break at a crucial stage.
The second goalkeeper who was chosen to save the team reportedly made mistakes which led to the downfall of the team. The decision makes the fans to blame the Team for using the goalie known as Clef while according to the fans, it was said that the goalkeeper was inexperienced. The talking point is, "Why will Ola (Ade junior) left the team on the verge of elimination?
The costly errors led to the team’s downfall, sparking outrage among supporters who felt the team knowingly took a huge risk. The frustration was evident as players broke down in tears, reacting that their sacrifices and rigorous training had been wasted.
