BREAKING: Two Brothers Killed as Trailer Container Falls Along Eripa Road, Iree
Tragedy struck on Wednesday evening as two biological brothers lost their lives in a fatal trailer accident along Eripa Road in Iree, Osun State.
The unfortunate incident reportedly occurred at about 5:00 p.m., sending shockwaves across the community.
According to eyewitness accounts, the trailer, loaded with bottled water, had arrived in Iree to offload goods for customers at the local market. After delivering part of the consignment, the driver attempted to turn the vehicle to transport the remaining goods to Offa town.
An eyewitness, Mr. Taofeek, explained that while the driver was maneuvering the trailer, the container suddenly detached from the truck and fell to the ground.
The heavy container reportedly crushed the two brothers, leading to their instant death.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigeria Police Force were present at the scene to control traffic and manage the situation.
As of the time of filing this report, efforts to obtain the names of the deceased proved unsuccessful, as authorities have yet to release their identities.
