Dr. Abiola emphasized that students must complete their fee payment and proceed to register their courses to be eligible to sit for examinations and access their results.
He warned that failure to pay school fees would affect participation in important academic activities, including matriculation.
However, a representative of Verce, Miss Arowolo Damilola, advised students to prioritize their health, particularly during the Valentine’s season.
She encouraged them to practice preventive measures against HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, stressing that “health is wealth.”
Also speaking at the event, a representative of Mayort Health Limited, Mr. Adedewe Oluwatosin, assured students of access to free healthcare services upon proper registration as bona fide students of the institution. He noted that students are automatically partnered with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) once their details are fully registered.
The Institution Librarian, Dr. Babatunde Shade, encouraged students to make effective use of the institution’s library facilities, describing the library as a vital resource for academic success.
Similarly, the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies, Dr. Akomolafe, charged students to pursue both moral and academic excellence. She stressed that discipline and dedication are essential for achieving good grades and becoming worthy ambassadors of their families and OSPOLY.
On entrepreneurship development, Dr. Odebunmi sensitized students on the importance of Entrepreneurship Education (EED). He urged them to embrace entrepreneurial skills that would prepare them for self-reliance after graduation, rather than depending solely on white-collar jobs.
The orientation programme was organized to familiarize new students with institutional policies, academic expectations, and available support services as they begin their academic journey at OSPOLY.
