• OSPOLY DSA Directs Refund of ₦500 ID Card Fee to Mass Comm Students, Rejects ₦100 Receipt Change

    By Samuel Akintola

The Dean of Students’ Affairs (DSA), Dr. Tope Abiola, disclosed that he has intervened in the ongoing discussion surrounding the #2,000 departmental Receipt, #1,000 ID Card, and #100 Change of Receipt to Mass Communication students.

According to the DSA, he had earlier engaged the Head of Department (HOD) of Mass Communication, Dr. Akinrosoye on the matter.

During the discussion, it was clarified that the approved departmental charge is ₦2,000 for receipt, while the additional ₦500 was designated for the ID card.

However, the HOD reportedly stated that the ₦500 ID card fee is not compulsory, it's only for those who are interested.

Based on this clarification, the DSA directed that the ₦500 collected from students who have already paid should be refunded.

Students are now expecting the NAMACOS Executive to issue an official memo clearly stating how and when the ₦500 refund will be made to affected students.
