• BREAKING: NANS Urges Osun Students to Register Vehicles, Display Number Plates

    By Afeez Ogungbemi

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC), Osun Axis, has urged students across tertiary institutions in the state who own or operate vehicles to obtain and properly display their official registration number plates.

The Caretaker Chairman of NANS JCC Osun Axis, Comrade Olawole Sheriffdeen Abolaji (Beejay), advised in a public advisory issued to students.

He said the sensitisation became necessary following the directive of the Inspector-General of Police on the nationwide enforcement against vehicles operating without approved registration number plates or with concealed or altered registration details.

According to him, students who are yet to regularise their vehicle registration should do so immediately to avoid embarrassment, delays, vehicle impoundment, or other inconveniences that may arise during police enforcement operations.

Abolaji urged students to remain law-abiding by complying with all lawful regulations, stressing that such compliance would contribute to the safety and security of their communities.

He reaffirmed the commitment of NANS JCC Osun Axis to protecting the interests of students through continuous sensitisation and engagement with relevant authorities.

The NANS chairman, therefore, appealed to all students to take the advisory seriously by ensuring that their vehicles are properly registered and display valid number plates.

He also encouraged students to remain responsible, security-conscious, and compliant with traffic and vehicle registration regulations.
